2 Corinthians 3:17

Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

The Mission

Help people connect to the life giving message of Jesus.

Help people grow in their faith and understanding of the word of God.

Help people serve God throughout our local and worldwide community by using their gifts, talents, and time.

The Vision

We believe there is liberty found in Christ. Not liberty as the world may know it, to pursue those things contrary to the nature of God. The liberty found in Christ is a liberty to live a life free of fear, trusting in Jesus for all things.
It's the liberty to be welcoming. Liberty is a place for everyone. We are a safe and encouraging place for all people to ask questions, explore their faith and experience community in York County.

It's the liberty to be generous. To give intentionally, of our time, talents, and resources. We want to give so much that it confounds those around us.

It's liberty to never be boring. A life filled with joy and strength for mind, body, and soul is promised in John 10:10. Life with Jesus should never be boring; if it is, then we probably aren't living it right.  From the oldest to the youngest, we value having a good time and including others in the celebration.

It's liberty to grow. That means not becoming stagnant in how we reach people where they are. Because of that, we will choose advancing over preserving. We never want to stop learning, sharing, and challenging ourselves to do more for God than we've ever done before.

Our Purpose

In Matthew 28:18-20 Jesus spoke these words to His disciples: And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Jesus gives His disciples a very specific purpose for the church. It can be summed up in this statement:

Love God. Love people. Share the gospel.

The apostle Paul writes of this amazing change that happens in us when we experience Jesus and the responsibility that follows for all who believe.

2 Corinthians 5:17-21

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. v.20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
